i'm confused whether i want to join ventures or the cub scouts as an auxilliary leader. of course, being in ventures would be better. i get to do PSA, and learn more skills. but looking at the venture unit, i'm a bit hesitant. they're unwilling to be in the whole scout group. the v1s don't look very solid either. they're like, going along with the flow. whatever comes up, nobody raises objections. that's what it looks like from here. i don't know, it may not be the case. being an auxilliary leader would mean that i spend time and effort for free. i'll do stuff but get nothing back in return. maybe i'll improve my planning skills and learn how to be prepared, but i still don't get anything.

the ventures went for 1 star kayaking without the scouts. i just happened to see them at Kallang SSC on the same day as the induction. even Aung sir didn't know that they went ahead already. when i told him, he was surprised. now, we have to plan our own 1 star course, cause David can't make it. apparently. -shrug.
